Afternoon and Evening Bridge

Bridge lessons

Afternoon Bridge for enjoyment
Daytime Bridge is offered on Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m. and Fridays from 1-3 p.m. Anyone is welcome to play. For more information contact John Kavan at 816-436-8518.

Thursday Evening Bridge Group
The bridge group meets the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a member or substituting, contact Diane Schroeder at 816-746-9574 or email Knowledge of the game is necessary.

Men’s Club

The Men’s Club provides opportunities for fellowship and service for men of all ages. Fund-raising activities include Lenten fish dinners, trivia night and Texas hold’em tournaments to help groups or individuals in need in our parish community. Social activities include watching sports, playing cards after meetings, nights out to a Royals game or to the local pool hall. Open to new ideas to foster fellowship and service.

Holy Family Book Club

The Holy Family Book Club reads one book per month and meets to discuss the book, themes, ideas and anything else that comes to mind. The book to read for the next month is decided upon as a group at each meeting; all genres are welcome. Dinner for Eight

Dinner for Eight offers the opportunity for parish members to meet and socialize with other parishioners through a monthly potluck dinner at a host’s home. Each group consists of eight or more adults, couples and/or singles, and meet on the third Saturday evening of the month from September through March (no December).

Participants are assigned randomly each month so members have the opportunity to meet many different people during the year. Each spring, all participants are invited to the culminating Dinner for Eighty held in the Parish Hall. For more information or to sign up, email

Learn to Cook Like Grandma Cooking Class

This cooking class is designed to introduce and give instruction to various types of homemade cooking techniques and recipes, from family to single serving. In addition to recipes, the class will address cost-cutting and time-saving techniques. This class is designed for all cooking-level expertise.
