Together We Grow: Extraordinary Gifts Wish List

Thanks to the generosity of our parish community,
the Together We Grow Campaign has raised more than $3.3 million.

Soon, our long anticipated construction begins. With careful oversight of our campaign committees, the parish is on target with the proposed project. We are working to balance the funding of core construction with other design elements and amenities, all the while remaining budget-compliant.
Several amenities have been placed on a “Wish List” as we focus on primary construction needs. Other items, while included in the core budget, may be of special interest to parishioners who may want to make an extraordinary campaign gift. A Wish List Fund has been designated to provide an opportunity for exceptionally generous parishioners to help fund these items. Perhaps something on the “Wish List” speaks to you or your family – an amenity, work of art or sacramental.
Contributions to the “Wish List” could be in honor of a loved one or in gratitude for a special blessing. Please know that pledges to the “Wish List” items would be gifts above and beyond an annual tithe and current campaign gift. Unless an item is underwritten in total, all gifts will be designated to the General Wish List Fund. The individual projects will then be completed as accumulated funding allows. To discuss interest in any of these items, please contact a member of the Campaign Steering Committee or parish staff. Gifts of all sizes are welcome, and your prayers and support, as always, are deeply appreciated. Come on, Holy Spirit!

Devotional Furnishings and Art

Mary of Nazareth Bronze Cast

In the dedicated devotional area in the sanctuary’s northwest corner, the wise and welcoming Mary of Nazareth, mother and grandmother of all her children, rests in a place of quiet reflection. The area features warm votive candlelight in a garden-like setting with live foliage and flowing baptismal waters. This exquisite work is a bronze cast created by Sister Marie Henderson, RSM, of Detroit, MI. Mary sits on a large piece of native Missouri limestone. Next to her is an empty space – a bench of respite – for the one approaching to sit. With outstretched hands, Mary invites her visitors to light a candle, take a seat beside her, and pray for her intercession.

Exterior Art

Newly fabricated metal and stone cross

A towering outdoor metal and stone self-standing sculpture, this exterior art piece is a glorious reflection of sacrifice and salvation. The cross, a beacon of hope rising from the earth, tells of Christ’s victory over sin and death and of the promise of our redemption. This simple, yet significant, art piece will be a visible sign of Christian welcome to all.

Music Ministry

Restoration of Organ Pipes and Blowers

Known for a rich and vibrant music ministry, Holy Family was generously gifted a magnificent set of organ pipes by St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Omaha, NE. This organ will enhance our existing organ when we secure full funding for the intricate and highly specialized restoration of the pipes. One by one, the 1,220 pipes will bring this magnificent instrument to life! Contributions to this project may be in tribute to a loved one – living or deceased – or in gratitude for God’s gift of music that enriches our lives.

Click here to give specifically to the Pipe Organ Fund and allow for Holy Family to earn a dollar-for-dollar match from Mr. Weyerhaeuser, along with the Cherbec Foundation, up to $30,000 through September 30, 2018.

Worship Environment

Liturgical Furnishings & Altar Accent Wall

While primary components of the altar and furnishings are included in the worship area expansion, some furnishings and design accents are on the Wish List. This includes a handcrafted stone wall, reflective of God’s steadfast and enduring love, that would be constructed in the sanctuary as a backdrop to the altar. Other sanctuary furnishings would include artfully crafted candle stands, credence tables and cantor stand to complement the altar, ambo, tabernacle and chair. These items are crafted of red oak harvested from renewable northern U.S. forests and beautifully accented with elements of dark emperador Spanish marble.

Holy Family Youth Area

Special Furnishings and Extras

The youth directors have requested a set of riser platforms for the junior and senior high youtharea. The youth use the risers when giving talks and other presentations. Additional funds wouldalso be used for comfortable furnishings and technology.

We celebrate. We grow. We live our faith.
